For years I avoided talking about mental health directly.
It hurt too much. In the past year I’ve watched as so many loved ones have become shells of who they used to be due to brain degeneration and addiction.
I’ve had enough of people believing that sickness and old age are synonymous and that Alzheimers is a disease of the old. I can’t help the entire world but damnit, I’m going to do my part.
Brain degeneration happens in degrees and the foundation for decline begins decades before any major symptoms are visible.
I recently did a webinar called “Optimize Brain Health with Food & Mindfulness” and it was received very well. If you want to register and hear the replay, click here.
“Perhaps one reason people can’t seem to envision “brain inflammation” as being involved in everything from Parkinson’s disease to multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, and depression is that unlike the rest of the body, the brain has no pain receptors, so we can’t feel inflammation on the brain.”
